Hi. I’m Dr. Caplan from Helios Telemedicine for Longevity. Can testosterone therapy increase a man’s organ size? The quick answer is, “No.”
Testosterone levels are very low from just a few months after birth to just before puberty. We all know that nothing much changes in size during this time. Testosterone starts rising when a boy reaches around 10-11 years old and increases up to 30 times childhood levels a few months before he shows any signs of maturation. The first sign of puberty is growth of the testes. T-levels continue to rise throughout early puberty, reaching a peak between 16 and 18 years of age and remain at this level until about age 25 when they start to decline. A man’s penile size starts to increase at about age 13 and usually reaches it’s final size in length and girth between 15 and 17 years of age. After that, there is likely no non-surgical way to make it look longer, and surgical lengthening comes with complications and compromises.
I haven’t seen any studies of testosterone supplementation during puberty, but I would imagine that boosting it to supranatural levels could affect size, but it would be unethical and likely detrimental to the long-term health of the child.
Sorry to dash anyone’s hope but administering testosterone after completion of puberty has no effect on length or girth. That said, having low testosterone levels in adulthood comes with numerous signs and symptoms including erectile dysfunction, reduced ejaculate volumes, loss of libido, loss of energy levels, and loss of muscle mass, all of which could affect performance and enjoyment.
