Bugsy is a seven year old gypsy cob and his mane, tail and feathers are presently free from sores since his current treatment regime appears to have tackled the symptoms of sweet itch. Bugsy has shown few signs of wanting to rub himself and the sites of any midge bites appear not to bother him. My family and I can keep a close eye on Bugsy and, at the first signs of him rubbing himself, we apply Horse Shield to the site of the irritation and then follow that up with top up applications twice a day.

During this sweet itch season, Bugsy has been much more settled and is virtually sore free. In particular, his tail shows a vast improvement in condition when compared to how it was last year.
