So, life begins without the Skip. As Sir Digby has been quietly biding his time face down in the dirt wings with every drop of EXP flying right over his spiky little head it's time for him to rise and start soaking that crap up.

This fight is a little more complex than the two bosses its sandwiched between but not by much. Give a guy fire and ice protection and you're golden; sort of. See, he'll use Quake 2 when attacked and his death-blow is bolt based (and immediately lethal for a low level team). So I waited for him to punch himself out and run out of MP, then revived Sir Digby who was equipped with a Bolt Armlet, and it was pretty much guaranteed from there.

Of course, all this ease is going to be repaid at some point. With interest.
