Postive Patina? Preserving The Rust On An Old Bicycle

The 1985 Saracen Conquest is a very rusty bike. Not so much structural... but it's covered in the stuff. I've seen ‪@toastyrides‬ use Kurust and keep the patina in a few of his builds so I thought I'd take it to the extreme here. Is it too much though??
