Rainy Day Toronto Street Photography | Nikon Z5 + Viltrox 85mm f1.8

Here, I shoot some street photography near the financial district in downtown Toronto. It was a rainy day, I knew that going I'm, but I decided to venture out anyway. I'm glad I did, because I think I walked away with some keeper images.

It started to rain more and more as the day went on, which made it a problem as my camera (#NikonZ5) isn't weather sealed. What I did to avoid water damage was to hide underneath the construction barriers found on busy street corners, and then when walking around exposed, I hid my camera in my coat jacket. It worked out nicely.

Sometimes you just want to go out and take some photos, despite the weather. Also knowing that the poor conditions can really help when telling a story with photographs, the umbrellas really became the theme of the day. I really like the shot of the colourful umbrella.

I shot BTS using a DJI Cosmo action, I had it clipped to my backpack
