A dazzling night parade lit up the streets of Hong Kong as the city celebrated the start of the Lunar New Year.

The annual Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade took place in Tsim Sha Tsui, marking the beginning of the Year of the Snake, also known as the Spring Festival.
