Description: Ten years ago, mindat.org, in conjunction with the Spirifer Geological Society, conducted a mineralogical symposium and related field trips to famous collecting localities in Morocco. I had the opportunity to participate in the 2012 mindat.org symposium as a speaker. The symposium included excellent mineralogical papers on Moroccan and related topics. The field trips before and after the symposium featured visits and collecting at many famous Moroccan localities that we have heard of, over the years. This presentation will feature the minerals, scenery, and cultures that we encountered in our travels around Morocco.
