BRITISH RAILWAYS IN THE 1990's
Various Short Visited Locations from 1993
Volume 02 (July - October 1993)
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of locations that I visited where not a lot of video footage was attained. Taken during 1993 we conclude for this year (1993) with a collection taken from July to October visits to Hexham on the Newcastle to Carlisle route, a rather brief early visit so just a few small service trains were seen. Allington Junction near Grantham was visited in July, a delightful signalbox and crossing where the regular class 20 hauled passenger service was captured on film from Skegness - Derby. Moving forward in time to October I visited Burton Salmon Junction in S. Yorkshire where MGR traffic flowed passed frequently to power stations in the area where is where the next location takes us. Brotherton Tunnel by Ferrybridge PS. Eaglescliffe was visited in July and to finish up the video we return to Clay Cross Junction (Chesterfield) in October where this now concludes video from 1993. I hope this video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material.
