These are solid substrates that don’t flex or bend like wood. They crack instead.

The sheet rockers hung the sheetrock after we applied the second or last coat of stucco, which caused the stucco to hairline crack.
However, even if the sheet rockers did not hammer on the inside walls when both coats of the exterior stucco walls are curing, usually for two weeks, it’s not unusual for hairline cracks to appear.

In fact, that’s why the walls are hydrated or moist cured with your garden hose to expand; then, when drying shink, voila, cracks.
We encourage homeowners to hydrate the base coat to force the cracking, as a new paint job or color coat will cover them.
Hence they don’t reoccur again.
Cracks in stucco are natural and aren’t considered a big deal, just sometimes unsightly.
In fact, they are natural as white rice.

Mor-flexx has stucco sand in every tube. This is why it matches the stucco finishes so well.
Tile caulking also has sand in every tube; however, that sand is fine silica sand. It is not as heavy as the sand in Mor-flexx and thus won’t match stucco walls.
