Saoirse's Story

Saoirse is a gentle, kid broke mare that we intercepted from auction through our March Buy Out mission. She came to us with a blind left eye that had most likely ruptured in the past. However, there were no signs of infection or cancer. To prevent chronic irritation or foreign objects from entering her eye, our veterinarians collectively decided to resect her eyelids. The surgery was successful, but Saoirse's eye continued to drain more than what a potential adopter could maintain, so our vets performed an eye enucleation. Her second surgery was also a great success, and it didn't take long for Saoirse to be approved for adoption!

Saoirse's Story was only possible due to the support of our generous donors. The role you play is pivotal in rescuing, sheltering, and protecting horses. Remember, horses like Saoirse get a second chance solely because of compassionate individuals like you. We urgently need your continued support.
