Ted Nugent… Just saying the name brings steam from all four corners… Here at POR we focus on the music. and non one can deny the talent and passion that Mr. Nugent has for Rock and Roll. Since bursting on to the scene, he has swung a might axe and given us plenty of hard rock to get us riled up. I had an opportunity to talk with him about his music.including the story of his ferocious 1977 rocker Catscratch Fever Which became his biggest hit, going to #30 on the billboard hot 100…

Theodore Anthony Nugent started as the lead guitarist and occasional lead vocalist of The Amboy Dukes, After the band dissolved , Uncle Ted started on a solo career. Nugent is notable for his Gibson Byrdland, his bluesy and frenzied guitar playing and his energetic live shows. Despite his, wide-ranging and original vocal chops, Nugent recorded and toured with other lead singers in his early solo career like Brian Howe, Meatloaf, and Derek St. Holmes amounts others. He took on lead vocals later on though, he was also part of the rock supergroup Man Yankees with Tommy Shaw of Styx, Jack Blades of Night Ranger who had the #3 hit High Enough in 1991..
