For family photo sessions, when we hire a professional family photographer we want the best images. Too often, we aim to create this picture perfect idea of what our families should look like for a holiday card. Our goal is to help families document less-scripted photographs where you are part of the picture so that these photos are not only treasures for today, but also for the future. We don't add on the trendy photo filters because in our view, these photos should remain timeless and look like how it looked in the moment. For many, family photos from an experienced, professional photographer aren't cheap, but just like compound interest on a savings account, as time passes the value of the photographs grows exponentially. We know that in the end, the photos that matter most are of us together with those that are closest to us. Our goal at every photo session is to work with families to help them create memories where they feel and look comfortable so that they have great photos for themselves, but also for their children. We photograph documentary family sessions at custom locations and do mini sessions a few times a year. While many people do want that posed group shot, it's a lot of fun to look for moments that showcase personality and mannerisms that will stand the test of time.
