rare birds: Dynacord TAM 19 (Time Axis Modulation)

Описание к видео rare birds: Dynacord TAM 19 (Time Axis Modulation)

The TAM 19 is a quite unique sounding flanger / doubler unit. It's based on Philips TDA 1022 bucket brigade device chipsets and work as a stereo unit (there are indeed 2 channels of effect inside).
It's very comprehensive. There are 4 different modes: positive and negative flanging and positive and negative doubling.
You can set the delay time as well as the feedback and you can switch between 2 delay length.
And there you can modulate the effect with 3 different source: a manual one (you set the phase with the knob, or you can plug a pedal to module it), a LFO (which outputs CV) and a enveloppe follower. Of course you can mix them together for even more modulation crazyness.
This unit can sound really nasty, watch out for you ears when setting the "regenerator" control.

To demo it I run a simple drum beat into it. Depending on the source material you get even more results (synth, guitar, voice etc).
Listen to it with headphones or proprer stereo speakers to hear the different textures it creates
