In today’s video, I want to dig into the science of a marketing and sales funnel.

A lot of people want to grow their business. If you’re watching this, there’s a good chance you want to also.

The natural next step is to say “I need more leads”. But most people don’t actually take the time to break this down.

By the end of this video, you’ll know exactly how to build a scientific marketing and sales funnel for your business that’s based on math. This will give you the information you need to pull marketing levers anytime you want to grow.

Alright, let’s dive in.

In order for you to build the math out, you’ll need a few numbers:
--Raw leads (phone, web, anything)
--Initial Phone Pre-Qual Calls
--In-Person Meeting
--Design Meeting
--Construction Meeting
--Signed Agreement

If you’ve never done this before, I suggest you pause the video now and go gather up these numbers for the last 12 months...at least 6 months if you can, but the more historical data, the better.

We’re looking for truth here! I don’t want you lying about your close rates - that doesn’t help you. The actual reality DOES.

When you gather this data, it will look something like this:

--52 raw leads in a month
--35 initial phone calls
--20 in person meetings
--8 design meetings
--6 construction meetings
--5 deals signed

You need 10 raw leads to close a deal.

Now that you’re armed with this info, you know if you want to grow by 20%, you need to get your raw leads up to 62 per month.

Remember, the more historical data you have, the more accurate this conversion funnel is which means the more accurate your raw leads to customers numbers will hold true.

For example, at Builder Funnel, we know for every 22 raw leads, we land a customer. So, if we want another customer, we go work on a campaign to generate 22 more raw leads.

Now, to go even deeper, breaking down the sources of leads to see where your customers come will take this to a whole new level, but that’s a subject for another video.

For now, go gather as much historical data - truthful data and put this into excel. I’ll drop a link below this video to a template you can use to enter the information.
