STATE TAX FILING for F-1 Students at PURDUE | STATE TAX return (INDIANA) | International Students

If you didn't have any income for the year 2022, you still NEED TO fill a form: FORM 8843 which is a visa compliance form required by the IRS. You can watch this video if you didn't earn any income last year:    • TAX FILING for F1 STUDENTS with NO IN...  

This video is specially for F-1 students at Purdue who earned income in the financial year 2022 ONLY in the state of INDIANA. There are more forms for state tax filing compared to the federal tax. But I have tried my best to simplify it for you so that you can get done with your state tax filing UNDER 30 MINUTES.

Start by downloading all the required forms:

i) Form IT-40PNR
ii) Schedule A
iii) Schedule C
iv) Schedule D
v) Schedule F
vi) Schedule H
vii) Schedule IN-DEP
viii) Schedule CT-40PNR

FOR PURDUE STUDENTS: Make sure that you complete the ASSISTANCE SURVEY at the start and also complete the POST ASSISTANCE SURVEY after you are done filing all the forms.

After filing the forms along with the video, make sure to print it, date, sign, and mail it in a envelope to the Indiana government according to your scenario:

IF YOU ARE GETTING A REFUND (most of the cases):

IF YOU OWE MONEY (rarely):
