Ethan Hawke Details Viral Rihanna Flirting Moment

Ethan Hawke and Myha'la Herrold sat down with Access Hollywood guest correspondent Tunde Oyeneyin to discuss their new film "Leave the World Behind." The two dished on their first impressions of each other and shed light on what it was like building their chemistry as actors and filming one of the psychological thriller's emotional scenes. Ethan also gushed over working with Julia Roberts, who plays his onscreen wife. Plus, he revealed how his real-life wife Ryan Shawhughes reacted to him trying to flirt with Rihanna at a 2015 basketball game, photos of which recently recirculated and went viral! "She laughed her ass off," Ethan said, adding, "My wife knows I'm a shameless flirt. She's not scared of it. She knows I love her." He also revealed how his and the "Umbrella" singer's conversation began: "She told me that she really liked 'Boyhood.' I was in! So she opened up the door," he quipped, adding that she was "very polite." "You got to take your shot, right? I'm a human being. I'm not dead. You find yourself seated next to Rihanna, what are you going to do?" Ethan laughed. "Leave the World Behind" hits Netflix on Dec. 8.
