Celtic Fiddle - The Bridestones

Описание к видео Celtic Fiddle - The Bridestones

The Bridestones are a chambered cairn, dating from the Neolithic Age and situated in the hills on Biddulph Moor. It is open and not covered, so it is possible to get an idea what the inside of an ancient buriel chamber is like. It is located nearby and I have visited a number of times.

I composed and recorded this tune today, whilst researching the fiddle music of Dougie Maclean for this evening's Patreon livestream. One of Dougie's most popular fiddle tunes is of course 'The Gael'.

Anyway, whilst playing through a few of Dougie's fiddle tunes, I composed this melody, which I felt lent itself to his style of playing. I quickly recorded and notated it, and this is the the result.

I will be making a lesson, backing and play-along tracks that you will find on my Patreon website in the coming weeks. For a small amount each month you get regular teaching videos, sheet music, backing tracks, live streams, newsletters and more. Drop by for a visit and see what is available.
