Question 1: What are Hippie Snacks Coconut Chips?
Coconut Chips are slices of crunchy coconut with a hint of cane sugar and sea salt to bring out the natural sweet, savoury, creamy taste of coconuts. We have two new flavours. The Tamari & Cracked Pepper and the Coconut Bacon.

Question 2: Is there meat in your Coconut Bacon?
That is one of the most common questions we get asked about our Bacon-flavoured coconut chips. They are in fact vegan. We use natural hickory smoke and maple syrup to create a bacon-like flavouring and they're a great alternative to potato chips or sprinkled on baked potatoes or on salads like you would an actual "bacon bit".

Questions 3: Tamari & Cracked Pepper Coconut Chips are "umami." What's "umami?"

Our Tamari & Cracked Pepper Coconut Chips were inspired by our love of the umami flavour. So you have flavours like sweet, salty, and bitter…and then you have this sixth flavour which is a savoury satisfying taste that you get from some meats. Of course this is vegan. We use nutritional yeast to get that flavouring. And our product is actually the first product to have a Non-GMO Project Verification that contains nutritional yeast in it. So this is something that we’re really excited about!
