Bristol Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 1998

In one of my previous videos I mentioned about the days of the special shapes and the sheer delight they gave to the world and the city of Bristol. In the video you will see all your all time favourtie hot air balloons like Thomas the Tank Engine, Jaguar XK8, Barclays House, Action Man and so many more! My family have finally found a way of extracting the footage of the fiesta from a 1996 vintage camcorder, this is the footage we have of the 1998 Bristol Balloon Fiesta day! This video will show the peak of the special shapes. Thanks to the major companies at the time like Flying Pictures and Virgin Airship and Balloon Company, these special shapes were possible! This is a very personal video and I have wanted to show this to the UK ballooning community and the enthusiasts worldwide for some time. I would also like to dedicate this video to all the people at Flying Pictures, Virgin Airship and Balloon Company, the people at Cameron Balloons behind the construction, the pilots flying and ideas behind each complex shape balloon. Its been problematic to extract the footage from the camera onto a playable format but I hope it will be worth it! Hope it rekindles memories for both pilots and spectators and you enjoy it as much as I did when I was 8 years old!
