Prelude from Cello Suite no. 1 by J.S. Bach

This is the third of six recordings for my RCM 8 exam repertoire. This recording was livestreamed on twitch.tv/jcpractices. It was a true joy to work on this piece and share the learning process over the course of a year. Thank you to all of those who spent time with me during countless Twitch practice sessions.

The piece is the Prelude from Cello Suite no. 1 by J.S. Bach (BWV 1007), but I like to just call it "that one cello song". Because it's so famous (ever been to a wedding?) I was hesitant to learn it when I started picking my RCM 8 exam pieces, but I'm so happy I did in the end. I think it's absolutely beautiful, and I've developed a great appreciation of Bach while learning it.
