Jimmie Rivers and the Cherokees - Slippery Elm

THIS is from a selection of tape recordings that were recorded between 1961-1964 by Jimmie Rivers & The Cherokees during their 23 Club residency. This and a selection of ~20 other recordings did NOT make the original Brisbane Bop record. These recordings have been shared amongst enthusiasts of Jimmie Rivers and Vance Terry's playing for some time now. I've uploaded them here to YouTube in the hopes that you too may be able to dig the incredible music made by this band. These recordings have been commonly referred to as "Brisbane Bop 2". So that's what I've entitled the playlist. And yes I do realize this is the original CD art, but I just grabbed it since it was different from the LP art which is currently being used on the original record here on YouTube. Enjoy!
