Art Galleries: Soft Or Hard Approach For Gallery Representation

http://www.moderncavepaintings.com/ - In the summer of 2014 I decided to visit Santa Fe, New Mexico to ask for gallery representation. I spent two days going through 110 galleries and assessing how I was treated as a potential buyer. I wound up approaching 75 galleries for representation. I asked questions and if they figured out I was an artist by my line of questioning I admitted I was there to do my due diligence and yes I was looking to be represented. I did not bring my portfolio with me at that time. I was there to peruse, assess and make notes on the galleries.
