The Journey - Onsite & Columns Casting - Ground Floor - Part 1- Ep. 48

Part 1: Was down right after hurricane Ernesto to see what the damage was up in person and to remedy any problems. The winds were reported around 95 miles an hour at my location and blew over the front walls of the block work prior to them being filled with concrete. Cleanup had already been completed before I arrived and columns were being placed up around the floor. The mosquitoes were the biggest problem and they were as big as house flies. 😊

Ordered and picked up some new brackets from the port to help reduce some cost on the project instead of having to keep renting; this was a personal investment in myself. Capture some of the work being performed by the team setting up the form, steel bending, steel ties and tie the steel rebars being placed together within the columns. You can see the high ceilings and the arches around the columns as you walk through the building in areas that have been completed.
