Hip pain with squats, feeling of pinching/impingement? Posterior chain extensibility issues or sciatic neurodynamic positive? This is one of my favorite techniques that can be used for all of those conditions. The band modulates the otherwise strong discomfort and perception of stretch. After, re-test squat, hip mobility or neurodynamics and if the patient is improved, they can do their own version of this banded or non banded with hip hinging in sitting - lean forward with chest up, adduct, internally rotate and flex their hip/ foot on the floor and rotate the entire leg inward with their arms, pivoting on their heel (on the floor).
