Fighting is occurring in Yugoslavia. The Yugoslav army is threatening action against Slovenia which wants its independence from Yugoslavia. Slovenia declared their independence which resulted from the use of force by the Yugoslavian army. This is part of the Ten-Day War which started after Slovenia's independence declaration. This war was the beginning of the protracted Yugoslav Wars which lasted from 1991 until 2001.
