Trailer Park Boys is a Canadian mockumentary television series created and directed by Mike Clattenburg. The show focuses on the misadventures of a group of trailer park residents, some of whom are ex-convicts, living in the fictional Sunnyvale Trailer Park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The television series, a continuation of Clattenburg's 1999 film of the same title, premiered on Showcase in 2001.[1] There are three films in the series: The Movie, released on October 6, 2006; Countdown to Liquor Day, released on September 25, 2009; and Don't Legalize It, released on April 18, 2014.

The seventh and final season of the series' original run on Showcase ended in 2007, with its final episode, "Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys", premiering as a one-hour special on December 7, 2008.

In 2013, Robb Wells, John Paul Tremblay, and Mike Smith, the actors who portrayed Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles, purchased the rights to the show from the original producers and created their own internet streaming network, "Swearnet". In March 2014, Swearnet began co-producing new seasons of the show, partnering with the streaming service Netflix to produce an eighth and ninth season, as well as three new specials. Season 8 premiered on September 5, 2014, followed by Season 9 on March 27, 2015.

The first 4 seasons were filmed in different trailer parks in Nova Scotia, Canada. The pilot was filmed in Spryfield, Nova Scotia. The first season was filmed in Sackville, the second in Dartmouth, the third in Lakeside, the fourth in Dartmouth again (in a different park than the second)
railer Park Boys filming locations

They used to film in a trailer park out in Lower Sackville. Then they switched to down by the candy cane tufts cove smoke stacks in Dartmouth (which you will be able to see if you go down to the Halifax waterfront and look across the harbour). Then they switched to out near Cole Harbour and set up their own trailer park in an old hospital area to make things easier.

I know a few scenes for Sunnyvale Trailer Park were shot in downtown Dartmouth which would be super easy to get to if you are in downtown Halifax. Just go down to the Halifax waterfront and take the 12 minute ferry across to downtown Dartmouth Alderney Landing. Then just walk up the street to Portland Street in the downtown Dartmouth area. In the Halifax area of downtown you could check out the metro centre near Citadel Hill I think they filmed there.
They originally started filming in a trailer park in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia but since have spread out to various locations in the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). Some scenes were filmed near Tufts Cover in Dartmouth. Some in back parking lot of Harbour Mews Apartments on Windmill Rd, Dartmouth. At one point “Bubbles” owned a bar in Halifax, not sure if still there. Basically no where in HRM off limits.
