How to Belay from the Top with a GriGri

This video assumes you already know how to belay with a GriGri. The techniques shown are complex and are best learned in person from a certified guide.

Make sure you have a rope diameter that is compatible with your GriGri. The self blocking function on a GriGri does not always work. Always maintain your brake hand on the rope. These systems require constant vigilance, and should be learned on the ground before being applied to the vertical environment.
