How to replace a thermostat and when a thermostat is bad in your car Toyota Lexus IS250

Don't get stuck in a cold car! My 15 year old Lexus IS250 was taking about 10 minutes to warm up on cold days even while driving the car. The OEM thermostat was not working correctly anymore and needed to be replaced. If you are wondering when your thermostat is bad in your car. It is when the thermostat is stuck open like mine and the car take a long time to warm up. The other example is when the thermostat gets stuck or seized close and the engine will over heat.
