What's New In REAPER 6.0 - new theme, embed plugins in tracks, MIDI CC Envelopes and more

REAPER 6.0 and this video I'm giving a brief overview of the major features and changes. While I was working on this video v6.01 has already come out mostly to squash some bugs.

01:36 - Defaults: enable track record monitoring on new tracks by default

02:43 - Theming: new Default 6.0 theme with theme adjuster script
layout DPI translation for HiDPI/Retina displays

05:23 - Windows: HiDPI awareness and display improvements (auto-rescale more UI when running HiDPI aware)
macOS: Retina display arrange, ruler, MIDI editor, etc
options in Preferences/General/Advanced to disable Retina support & disable Retina for non-Retina theme elements

11:42 - Tracks: support positive or negative playback time offset without affecting PDC

user preference for max MIDI playback speed to catch up to negative track playback offset

track and mixer control panels
support embedding UIs for ReaEQ, ReaXComp, ReaComp, ReaSurround, and graphical JSFX

17:22 - MIDI editor: display and edit CCs as linear and curved envelopes, similar to track envelopes
default CC event and CC lane mouse modifiers more like default envelope behaviors

18:21 - MIDI editor: display and edit velocity as dots and lines
option to display note length in velocity lane

19:06 - MIDI editor: combine note properties and event properties into one modeless dialog

19:42 - Notation editor: support customized staff and note context menus

20:04 - Media import: properly adjust length of imported media with embedded tempo when crossing project tempo changes
Media items: "Beats (auto-stretch at tempo changes)" timebase

21:06 - Render: support embedding tempo into AIFF files
when enabled, embed exact tempo of rendered item/time
optionally embed transient information into WAV or AIFF files 

21:36 - Import: handle WAV and AIFF (Apple Loops) files containing transient information similarly to REX files
action to convert embedded source media transient information to transient guides
optionally create transient guides on import for media with embedded transient information

option to ignore all embedded slice and tempo information
