Literally though, $8 for a refill that only cleans 1.5 rounds of my home?? I LOVE you Swiffer, but no thank you😅.

In my home, I try to be as resourceful, eco and budget friendly as possible to the degree that I am ABLE♻️. We have FIVE pets up in here, four cats that use litter boxes, those floors need to literally SHINE AND BE SQUEAKY CLEAN!🤣

🌟PLEASE PUT PETS & SMALL CHILDREN AWAY WHILE CLEANING & WHILE THE FLOORS ARE DRYING. They don’t need to be near slippery floors, vinegar or whatever other solution you are using. Please be safe & considerate.

🌟THE BUCKET + SWIFFER ROUTE: I covered this a bit, but it is honestly one of the BEST alternatives for EVERY Swiffer model if it’s the route you need to take. If you happen to not have a WetJet bottle or that cap will NOT budge off with the boiling water, then this is a great option! You can use any bucket, tote, pan, or whatever you can find that your swiffer head will fit in to fill with water and choice of cleaner for this method. If you do NOT have something big or sturdy enough, just fill up your sink, or bathtub(sink would work better since it’s smaller = less cleaner solution is needed for water ratio. Using a sink would be easiest in my opinion to use the edge of the sink lip to squeeze out excess water before mopping. You also won’t have to deal with potentially knocking over or smacking a bucket and making a BIGGER monsoon😂. If I ever need to go this route again, I will definitely be using the sink! The solution ratio I personally use is about 1/3 vinegar, 2/3 water(some people do 1/4, or 1/2, use whatever works for you. You can choose to add some essential oil OR dish soap to this solution if you want, I just used the appropriate amount of Dawn in mine, the rooms smelled good and fresh/“clean” after, it WORKS!

🌟PLEASE DO NOT USE ESSENTIAL OILS IF YOU HAVE PETS!!!! They can cause serious allergic reactions that can be very dangerous for them. There are some considered “safe” to use around them but no real research around it that I have found that convinced me, there’s too many contradicting pages and evidence that I found, and I have seen them suffer from certain things before, so I personally just don’t use them for cleaning. Please do your own research and find LEGIT sources before using any.
