Railroad Crossings of the Amtrak Michigan Line

Описание к видео Railroad Crossings of the Amtrak Michigan Line

The Amtrak Michigan Line runs from Porter, IN to Detroit, MI, and is one of the few pieces of track outside of the Northeast Corridor that is actually owned by Amtrak. They operate 4 trains each way per day on this line, 3 Wolverines and the Blue Water.

The crossings on this line have almost all been upgraded to LEDs over the past 20 years. They appear to have started from west to east, as they started with GS LEDs, then moved to WCH LEDs, and now they appear to use Dialight LEDs primarily.

Many crossings in Indiana still feature mechanical bells, whereas very few crossings in Michigan still have M bells.

This video will cover most of my catches on this line in the past 4 years from 2015 up into 2019. Most are from the west end, but I did get a couple of crossings closer to Detroit as well. There will be more of these in the feature, so stay tuned.
