This was the kit we made back in 2010 where John suggested that we use neo magnets. There's a long story about this that you partly see in this clip and in other videos where you see us putting together the boards. This was presented at our 2010 and 2011 Renaissance Charge conventions at The Coeur D'Alene Resort in Idaho.
I warned Tony (Anthony J. Craddock) not to come and start filming until I made sure the motor was running properly, but he wanted to film me taking the parts out of the box and assembling them. So he flew in with his Jet for a week. As it turns out what you see being assembled was defective as the arrangement of the coil framing had to be changed around. It worked but not as good as the final kit that we sold for years.
While John said in this video that this was exactly like his original that was upstairs it was in fact significantly different in that it had neo magnets and an aluminum rotor and 8 transistors per coil instead of 4, etc. I did make an exact replication of the original and I plan on making a new kit that is the same, as that has been requested by many people. That new kit will be mentioned in the teaching within the new SG kit book.
