🔴 NDA is the premier training institute of Indian forces which provides a strong foundation to the future officers. Khadakwasla town of Pune was chosen as the place to set up the academy because it was an ideal place to train the cadets of all three wings of the armed forces, Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.

University level education is a crucial aspect for the training of cadets at NDA. When they pass out from the academy cadets have a graduate degree in arts and science. With the changing global scenario, cadets are now trained in various foreign languages including Arabic, Chinese and French. Apart from regular classrooms, cadets are also trained and taught in open area classes at difficult terrains. A cadet at NDA is well and truly trained to be a scholar warrior.
