1/1000 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-B Bussard Collectors (Model Shop Update March 21, 2024)

In this Jason's Model Shop Update video I take a look at the replacement Bussard Collectors from Lake Monster Details!

What's up, Plastic Addicts?

I’ve covered just about all the Lake Monster Detail parts for the Excelsior Refit USS Enterprise NCC-1701-B.

The part I’m most excited about is the Bussard Collector.

I’m also not looking forward to figuring out the lighting…but that a future me problem.

Like everything so far, you’re going to want a razor saw, a knife, a file and an abundance of patience.

Take your time when cutting the molded detail out of the kit supplied part. There’s a recessed area around the bussard collector that needs to be maintained.

Without it, the part will have a poor fit. And, as far as finishing goes, the recessed area is painted a gun metal gray.

So be aware and think ahead!
