How to actually build the Gold-Nifty ratio chart yourself on TradingView?

Long version:

Step 1 — Go to https://in.tradingview.com
Step 2 — In the search bar at the top, type the ticker symbol for global gold prices: TVC:GOLD. But remember, this is gold priced in USD per troy ounce, not in rupees and not in grams. So we need to adjust it.
Step 3 — To adjust for Indian currency, multiply it by the USD/INR exchange rate. For that, use the ticker FX_IDC:USDINR.
Step 4 — But that's still not fully accurate. In India, when you buy physical gold, you pay import duty, on average around 10%. So, multiply the result by 1.1 to account for import duties. Technically, this duty can vary a little bit, but 10% gives a very good direction. We’re looking for clear trends—not second-by-second price perfection.
Step 5 — Next, convert the price from troy ounces to grams, because in India, gold is measured in grams. One troy ounce equals 31.1 grams. So divide the figure by 31.1.
Step 6 — Finally, divide the adjusted gold price by the Nifty index to create the ratio. The Nifty ticker is NSE:NIFTY. So, to do this, type ‘/NIFTY’ and press enter
