So this is episode 4 - Making FRIENDS In Berlin - Everything You Need To Know About Moving To Berlin

It’s been one hell of a ride in this mini series - Everything you need to know about moving to Berlin - we’ve been through why you have to move to Berlin now, finding a place to rent in Berlin, finding a place to work in Berlin and now we’re onto making friends in Berlin!

So COVID-19 has flipped things up a bit but here’s recommendations on what you can do to make some mates in Berlin.

I mentioned in the last video a newsletter called woloho.com and one of the 3 newsletter they send out weekly for free is Lo - which is all about joy, love and health. All the adverts come from their loyal community, are carefully curated and then emailed out. On the WoLoHo newsletter in Berlin I have found an NGO charity which I have volunteered for since I basically arrived in Berlin, found individuals and helped create groups that are passionate about certain topics and generally reached out to people who may want to collaborate on something cool.

Internations are communities of expats in many cities around the world. They hold regular events or are just starting to again after the global pandemic. They have free events in Berlin for those interested in joining and then paid for memberships.

Events include group walks, parties, mothers-to-be meetups, foodie events etc. So all in all pretty cool and so internations.org is a great way to make some friends in Berlin.

In this video about making friends in Berlin I also say a bit about how you can use social media but also emphasize the importance of finding your passion, whatever that currently is or you want it to be. You can find your passion in Berlin and through that you will meet like minded people who may become friends. If you embrace Berlin, Berlin will embrace you back.
