Velodyne Lidar in Archaeology

How can we use modern technology to preserve the past? Students of the Wheaton College Archaeology program are utilizing the state-of-the-art Ultra Puck by Velodyne Lidar during their excavations in Tel Shimron, Israel, to produce high resolution scans of the area. These scans enable the students to analyze what they've uncovered on a day to day basis. Velodyne Lidar is proud to provide the new generation of archaeologists with the tools they need to reconstruct life from thousands of years ago!
