The 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage is not an optical illusion, despite its name. Even in base trim, Mitsubishi's affordable hatchback comes equipped with a long list of standard safety and convenience features, such as automatic climate control, a forward collision warning system with automated braking, and a touchscreen infotainment system that works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All things considered, the Mirage is a really disappointing car—it's sluggish, not very comfy, and its interior feels more chintzier than a TK Jewelers watch. Similar to how a mirage teases a parched desert traveler, so too does the Mirage lure those looking for a fairly priced, reasonably equipped new car.
