VOX Classics – NEW RELEASES – Grant Johannesen plays Grieg (June 2024)

Legendary conductor Maurice Abravanel led the Utah Symphony Orchestra in a performance of works by Edvard Grieg, including Two Lyric Pieces, Old Norwegian Melody with Variations and In Autumn. The album also features the Piano Concerto in A minor, performed by distinguished pianist Grant Johannesen. These recordings have been widely admired since their first appearance, appealing both to the nostalgic and the inquisitive amongst discerning collectors.
