Ratargul Swamp Forest is located at the Goain Ghat area of Sylhet Division in Bangladesh. It is approximately 18.7 km away from Sylhet.

To visit Ratargul Swamp Forest, You need to go Sylhet city first. Three type of transportation mode is available towards Sylhet from Dhaka. You can get in there by bus, train or air. From Sylhet, take a CNG to Goain Ghat. It will take 2.5-3 hours time and 400-500 BDT fare. Form Goain Ghat need to reserve a local engine boat to the forest.

After that you have to report and take permission from the forest office first before entering the forest, and request them to arrange a boat. You should not take any boat from outside. They’ll arrange a local wooden boat on which you can explore the forest. It is safe for 6-8 people abroad the boat. They’ll take 200-500 BDT depending on how long you need to explore the forest.

You’ll find all types of food in Goain Ghat. You can also have lunch or snacks at Nazimgarh resort. You may also look out for local restaurants available.
