The RO International Platform for Audiovisual Projects

CONCEPT
-It is not just an experimental AV event, gathering the whole
Romanian audiovisual scene;
-It is not just an international electronic music festival,
AVmotional is a PLATFORM meant to present, exchange and promote
outstanding Romanian and international productions in the field
of the new Electronic/Acoustic Music, Audiovisual Performance,
VJ-ing and interactive new media installations.

The values related to AVmotional are:
-Original contemporary Audio-Visual expression,
-Projects linked to cutting edge technology,
-Permanent exploration of new forms of artistic interaction.
AVmotional activities include
-Production of DVD compilations,
-Event organizing - live performances,concerts,screenings,workshops etc.
-Booking services for local and international artists.

HISTORY
AVmotional 01 started in 2004 as the first Romanian gathering
dedicated to the audio-visual scene and it took place at the
International Center for Contemporary Art Bucharest. The long
awaited event was largely appreciated by the Romanian art
community, as well as the broad public.
One of the main purposes of AVmotional 02 (Casa Tranzit,Cluj
Napoca,2005) was to update Romania to the international trends in
this field, to present new relevant artistic acts to the local
public. AVmotional succeeded in including Romania in the
worldwide network of AV events, the response of the international
artist to this event being enthusiastic.
AVmotional 01 and 02 gathered about 30 audiovisual projects and
more than 50 audio and video performers from Romania, Bulgaria,
France, Austria, UK etc. The first two editions had a guiding
role in recognizing, gathering and developing the Romanian A/V
live performing scene. It was also a response to the fast growing
need for more venues, acting as meeting points and performance
options to a rich and demanding community.

http://www.avmotional.com is meant to be the on-line face of AVmotional
Platform and to release not only the events, but also to be a
powerful information and networking tool and audiovisual database
for promoting audiovisual projects, artists and the newest
technical developments from Romania, the Balkans and abroad.
