In this video, we spent our final two days in Zhengzhou, the provincial capital of Henan Province, before flying on a domestic Air China flight from Zhengzhou to Beijing.

We explored several key landmarks in Zhengzhou, including Erqi Memorial Tower, Zhengzhou Confucian Temple, City God Temple, and Zhengzhou Beida Mosque, which showcased the city’s deep historical and cultural roots. We also visited sites linked to the Shang Dynasty, including remnants of the ancient rammed-earth city wall.

Local Henan cuisine was another highlight of the trip. We tried Henan braised noodles (烩面), Sanxian braised noodles (三鲜烩面), and the famous pepper soup (胡辣汤), all known for their rich and comforting flavours.

That afternoon, we travelled to Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport using China’s high-speed rail, sharing practical observations about metro exits, escalators, luggage challenges, and station design. The airport railway station was directly connected to the terminal, making transfers convenient.

At the airport, we explored both the public area before immigration and the airside transit area, which offered a wide variety of dining options, including international fast food and regional Chinese cuisine. We also spotted Mixue Bingcheng, a popular Chinese beverage brand founded in Zhengzhou.

Our flight was Air China CA1914, operated by a Boeing 737-800, with a short delay before departure. In this video, we covered boarding, cabin layout, in-flight service, snacks, and the overall flying experience. The flight time from Zhengzhou to Beijing Capital International Airport was just over an hour.

After landing in Beijing, we shared our experience with international transfer procedures, including baggage transfer and transit clearance, before continuing on our onward flight to Singapore.
