As many of you know, our 9 year old daughter Alexis has cystic fibrosis. CF is the largest genetic killer of children and young adults in the US and one in 31 adults are carriers.

The time has come for our annual Great Strides walk and fundraiser to help Alexis and thousands of others fight cystic fibrosis.
It's hard to express how much this means to us, and it would take far too many words to write it here. We hope this video shows what we are fighting for and why we need your help more than ever.

What we are asking:

1. Please donate today at http://www.cff.org/great_strides/team.... Your financial support WILL save lives.
2. Please pass this on to 5 friends who you can reach that we might not know. If they can give even $5, this will make a huge difference by spreading the word. (This step is very important - forwarding this to your friends really makes a difference.)
3. Join us at the walk in Dana Point, CA on 4/27/13 if you can. (Details on the donation page.)

Alexis loves to play soccer. She practices nearly every day and dreams of playing professionally when she grows up Today, that might be an audacious dream for someone with cf, but we know that she has reason to hope for the future: Even to those who are very conservative, it looks like we may be in the final decade of eradicating this deadly disease that affects hundreds of thousands.

Just think for a minute how much it means to be a part of something that big - in honor of those we've lost - and to save those who are suffering today protect untold thousands not yet born.
But every year so far, I've had to say "we aren't there yet". And as far as we've come, that's unfortunately still true. The research is incredibly expensive, and as an orphan disease, cf receives no government funding.

We need your help to get there. We will not stop until we beat this and together I know we can do it.
