Are making a new year’s resolution to quit drinking because you want sobriety as a Christian? Christians and alcohol is a controversial topic, but as a pastor with 36 years of sobriety, the Holy Spirit showed me why drinking isn’t God’s best for believers who want to walk in their calling with clarity, protect their testimony, and honor Christ with their lives.
In this video, I share my personal story as a former alcoholic who gave my life to Jesus and immediately knew that alcohol and my walk with Christ could not coexist. I’ve witnessed firsthand—both in my own life and through decades of pastoral counseling—the devastating impact alcohol has on families, ministries, testimonies, and spiritual growth.
