Endpyre is a #metal #metalcore #progressivemetal #altmetal #deathmetal #sludgemetal band, based out of Florida. I was contacted earlier this year with regards to contributing. I cut the drums out of my home studio in May, and the balance of the EP was engineered and mixed by Jamie King.

There were some great programmed drums present in the demos, with some unexpected phrasings and backbeat placements. As per usual, I reinterpreted and added idiosyncrasies, the occasional fireworks when needed. There are two difficult broken nonuplet fill-ins that segue into 'bomb blasts' (1:59, 3:05). Big fan of the upward dynamic arc of the outro.
