Male moderator: “We sang everywhere we went. We have photos of song festivals in Esslingen, Visby, Minnesota and Brisbane, but it is difficult for us to see the song festival in the frozen Siberia. And perhaps a girl, who only heard Latvian from her parents, stood on a stump and sang a prayer.”

Female moderator: “Let's imagine a song festival with only one singer, who doesn't even have a folk costume with her, maybe just a brooch and she knows her’s Latvia only from the stories of her parents.”

Male moderator: “Which of our songs did she sang and no one heard? Was it "Tumša nakte, zaļa zāle” (Dark night, green grass) or some other folk song or maybe just a melody from "Daugavas abas malas” (Both sides of Daugava). Perhaps it was a prayer that we have adopted as our hymn.”

Female moderator (In sign language) : “When you are forbidden to speak, you can sing. When it is forbidden to listen, you can hear. When it is forbidden to see, you can imagine. The man and the song are unstoppable. Without words, without music, the heart remains in the field.”

Male moderator: “Together again. Baumaņu Kārlis "God blesses Latvia"”
