Walking across the forest, you come across an ancient ruin of some sorts. It appears to be the remains of a giant nether portal; a product of a bygone ancient civilization. It should be deactivated, but traces of the Nether still linger in its midst...

With the Nether update bringing new blocks and structures, I wanted to try building my version of a ruined Nether portal! I decided to go with a circular frame as opposed to a rectangular one, and then 'broke' off a section and laid it on the floor nearby. The portal itself is supported by a stone archway that has collapsed, with iron bars acting as support wires that dangle around. The portal is surrounded by the ruins of an ancient temple, with some loot and goodies still left behind.
