We didn’t even talk that much about the premed journey in today's episode with Cheril. But we talked about his actual journey as a DACA recipient. A lot of students have reached out to me to ask if we've ever had a DACA recipient on the podcast, and now we have.

Cheril went to Canada from India and then came to the U.S. at 10 years old. Now a first-year medical student, he talks about all the normal struggles that premeds have—plus the extra struggles, especially the emotional struggles, when it comes to being a DACA recipient and all of the unknown that comes with that status.
