Audiobubble - Ayakashi (HD)

When I first created the video for Ayakashi the best output resolution was 720p. A week later, HD was possible. I upscaled and re-edited the video. It's better this way. Enjoy!

Original description, March 2023:

Ayakashi began life as an experiment in writing complex rhythms in a new markup language called Nestup. The track has two elements: those based entirely on this sophisticated rhythm (percussive, harmonic and melodic), and a contrasting layer of orchestral instruments playing slower, drawn-out phrases. The track develops and layers-up, but never deviates from these two paths.

I created the video for the track using new AI tech. I've had mixed feelings about the rise of AI art, but after playing around I realised that these interesting tools enable artists to explore other art forms and enhance their own work. There will, I believe (hope) always be a place for the creative human mind. I'll have to take that on the chin when text-prompt audio generation comes of age. I acted as the director of the video, guiding what felt like an incredibly creative ADHD mind (suits my own) as it generated short scenes, which I then stitched together.
