The Sudirman Cup is the World Team Badminton Championships, the only BWF world event for men and women competing together in national teams. Held every two years, the Cup is one of the most prestigious titles in the Sport. The event was first hosted in the Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, Indonesia in 1989 with 28 nations taking part and it now attracts more than 50 national teams.
